B.A.Y.L. Bowlathon Tournament Format
Teams
Teams will consist of four players...these can be four friends, four family members, four adults, four teenagers, any combination of four. Teams will compete in brackets of like structured teams. A team of four adults will not play in the same bracket with a family team that may have two adults and two young children. Some teams will be bowling duckpin and some will be bowling tenpin...every team in any given bracket will only bowl against other teams bowling the same format. Each team will bowl three games.
Fundraising
Each team will be asked to raise sponsorships for their team. You can ask your sponsors to support you on a per pin basis or ask for a set donation type of sponsorship. We will leave that up to the donor. We ask that each team raise a minimum $200.00 in sponsorship money. Prizes will be awarded to the team with the highest sponsorship level. What you can expect at the tournament
Balls and rental shoes will be provided and each player will be given $15 in "fun money" that can be spent at the snack counter for lunch and snacks. When you arrive at the bowling center, there will be a check-in desk where you will be given your lane assignment and information pack. From there you can proceed to the shoe rental desk and then on to your lane where you may begin bowling when your full team has arrived.
The evening of the tournament, beginning at 6:30 we will have an awards banquet where will will announce the tournament winners, give out prizes, and best of all...eat some really yummy food.
